Description

Fireworks have always captured my imagination. When my daughter was about 7 we went to Washington D.C. and one of our journeys was to a Smithsonian exhibit of Whistler. In addition to his portrait of mom, there was another painting titled Nocturne in Black and Gold that stayed with me. Although this painting isn't remotely like his, it was with an eye looking back to that inspiration that brought me here.
